Q: How much does it cost?

A: Sliding-scale fees based on income and family size; most major insurance accepted. Nobody is turned away over cost.

Q: Do you see children under 14?

A: Our clinical counseling services are for ages 14 and up. Workshops and community programs are open to all ages — call us and we can help point you toward other local resources for younger children.

Q: Do I have to be religious to come here?

A: No. KPCC serves everyone, regardless of faith background — Inclusion means everyone belongs here. Faith-integrated care is available if you want it, never required.

Q: Do you offer telehealth?

A: Yes, across all 55 counties in West Virginia — the same concierge experience, wherever you’re logging in from.

Q: Where are you located?

A: Charleston and Barboursville, plus telehealth anywhere in West Virginia’s 55 counties.

Q: How do I know which counselor is right for me?

A:Our intake team helps match you based on what you’re looking for — think of them as your guide to the right waypoint. You can also browse counselor profiles directly.

Q: What if my counselor isn’t the right fit?

A: Tell us. Matching isn’t guaranteed on the first try, and we’d rather switch you to someone better suited than have you push through a mismatch.

Q: What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

A: Life happens — we get it. We ask for 24 hours’ for cancelations so we can offer that time to someone else who needs it, and we’ll always work with you when something unexpected comes up. A missed appointment without a 24-hour notice is a $125 fee.

Q: Is what I say confidential?

A: Yes, with standard legal exceptions your counselor will explain at your first session. Safety and trust come first, always.
